Indoor Market Terms & Conditions.

Welcome to Popping District! In preparation for your pop-up shop/stall, we would like to share a few details to make your experience enjoyable and successful. Please make sure you read the entire document as you will be responsible for following all guidelines.

To reserve your space, a security deposit is required equal to 1 full month’s rental. An invoice will be e-mailed to you after submitting your application. Your security deposit will be returned to you 30 days after the end date of your term once refurbishment costs have been deducted. In the event of cancellation with less than 1 months’ notice, your security deposit will be forfeited.

Your usable space will be approximately 3 sqm in the Popping District @ Cradlestone Outlet. No additional fittings, displays or racks will be provided. 

The Rooftop Space and outlet of our Popping District will also be used for a variety of events (all surrounding a central theme and targeting key dates) on a regular basis. As such events will help to bring customers to the space, we require that Vendors make a special effort to remain open during such events. If Vendors are unable to do so, they will be responsible for covering or keeping displays and products, as Popping Space will not be liable for any items that are lost or spoilt during such events.

Vendors will be able to set up 1 day before the start date of their term, and tear-down within 1 day after the end date of their term.

Should your eventual space be in an area of our market that may not be readily visible to walk-in customers, we recommend taking active steps to market your Pod/Brand Box/Pop-up Shop as early and as much as possible.

Vendors will be responsible for collecting payment and tracking sales of their products/services.

At the end of every week, Vendors shall provide a report on Weekly Gross Sales, including a detailed list of items sold to Popping Space on a weekly basis, for further monitoring and measuring purposes. This information may be shared with our partners and/or the mall when forecasting.

Vendors are also welcome to utilize our Credit Card terminals to collect payment for their products and/or services. All transactions will be paid out once the Popping’s commission and admin of (total of 16%) is deducted.

The opening hours for Popping District @ Benmore Cente are 9am – 7pm from Thursday to Sunday. Popping reserves the right to amend this as and when necessary.

Set up for a business day begins 30 minutes before opening time, and we will extend 30 minutes past closing time for end-of-day closing and cleaning.

Vendors need to commit to keep their pop-up shop open for business 100% of the time, or at other such times as may be agreed between the parties.

Vendors must provide their own manpower to tend to their pop-up shop at all times, and should not leave their space unattended at any time.

Each Vendor exhibits in his or her own legal capacity in accordance with prevailing regulations and laws of South Africa. Popping shall not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by Vendor, including, without limitation, damage to Vendor’s property, loss of sales, or injury to or death of Vendor (or its agents, employees, and/or personnel). Vendor expressly assumes all risks of loss, damage, liability, injury, or destruction resulting from any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to acts or omissions by Vendor, and hereby releases and waives any claims against Popping related to such loss, damage, liability, injury and/or destruction.
